‘Human Race’ follows renowned professor Eske Willerslev and his team of scientists on a groundbreaking mission to map the genetic blueprint of 5,000 ancient humans. As they uncover new insights into human DNA, they confront unsettling questions: What makes us who we are? Through the lens of filmmaker Simon Lec, this real-life documentary explores Willerslev’s personal and professional journey, highlighting his battle with belonging, ‘fitting in’, and his goal of making his mark on human history.
